Over the years, the company has progressively expanded its areas of intervention, which today include, alongside the creation of customized stands for the most important national and international trade fairs, exhibitions, permanent installations for museums and foundations, fashion shows and presentation events for the most prestigious fashion & luxury brands, and furnishings for showrooms, points of sale, and HQ office spaces.

The history of this family business began 70 years ago, driven by the resourcefulness and talent of Giorgio Benfenati, one of the pioneers of the emerging Italian market of temporary architecture in the early postwar years.

 

The first trade fairs and advertising work were the springboard for the launch of an activity that, having started as an artisanal family business, has become structured over time as a medium-sized industrial firm and a prominent player in the contemporary exhibition design market.

The protagonists of this evolution were Roberto and Daniele Benfenati, the founder's sons.

 

Roberto Benfenati worked alongside his father as technical assistant while simultaneously completing his architectural studies in the dynamic and enterprising Milan of the 1970s, building a network of relationships and acquiring experiences that he then translated into a constant evolution of the company's creativity and production capacity.

At his side, his brother Daniele specializes in logistics management, internal production and warehouse management, essential aspects of a business that requires real-time responses and great flexibility, combined with a reliable and efficient organization.

The team is completed by two indispensable women: Maria Martinez and Elisabetta Giupponi, who take care of the administrative and personnel side of the business, increasingly important for a company that has always placed a high premium on training, updating and workplace safety. 

 

By the ‘80s, the company was already reaping the fruits of this commitment to excellence on a larger, even international scale, forging relationships with customers of the caliber of Disney.

 

In more recent years, thanks in part to Roberto Benfenati’s collaboration as a lecturer with the Politecnico of Milan’s "IDEA" Master’s program in Exhibition Design and Architecture, young draftsmen and designers with a cultured and dynamic professionalism have joined the company, ensuring its ability to intelligently address the demands of a market in continuous transformation.

 

The technical office of Allestimenti Benfenati is the operational heart of a company that has never ceased renewing and updating its production technologies and machinery.

That same logic informed the complete renovation of the production facilities in early 2020, designed to provide an environment for working together with customers, with ample space dedicated to creative discussion, engineering, choice of materials, and mock-ups.

The headquarters is located in Settimo Milanese and consists of 1200 square meters of woodworking spaces and equipment, 500 square meters of offices and 8000 square meters divided between laboratory and warehouse. Ongoing relationships with specialized agencies, design studios, and designers are a fundamental asset for Allestimenti Benfenati.
